The Friday Fish Fry, The Cornerstone of Life in Pennsylvania during Lent, then Shopping and Cookie Cutters!

If you live, have ever lived, or just passed through Pennsylvania During Lent then you know that the Friday Fish Fry is the Cornerstone of life and the community. Your social status and Community affiliation is determined by where you go for Friday Fish Fry. Mostly alot of Non-Profit Orginizations sponsor the Fish Frys; Churches, Volunteer Fire Departments and other Community Orginizations. My Family always goes the the one at The Saint Boniface Church and School. http://www.saintbonifaceweb.com/
All of the Desserts are donated by members, including my mother who makes her famous Apple Pie! (Might be doing a blog on the process later this week)

Nothing Better than My Mum's Apple Pie and Mountain Dew!!

My Newphew AU Covers everything with Ketchup,

My Mum moves her Baked Potato...

Ernie likes the baked Fish. I am thinking I need to get my school in touch with Unisea so that we can start selling Fish directly to the school. They sold over 616 meals last night at the school. And it was Haddock, not good Tasty Halibut or Black Cod from Alaska. Hummmmmmm....

Mum and Ernie.

JS!! also known as CB's Little Sis

And Family friend Cindy.

Finally, after supper went out shopping with JS and AU and stumbled across the mother load of cookie cutters!

I called CD but it seem she already had all of them.....

Ok, So tonight Church and then Cooking up the 20# of Crab I brought home.

So far, Good Vacation.

We went out for soup and salad after Stations and Adoration last night....it was fun but it was a late night...I love the cookie cutters...I have a whole set of cookie cutters framed in a shadow box that came from my grandparents bakery...if I had been a good mom I would have taught my child how to make cookies using them...but she does get to use the cake pans...have a great time at home...

LOL. CB we don't really have a lot of stuff like that around here. I really need to get fresh fish this week. My daughter is learning slowly how to cook, and will learn to bake when she's old enough. we are collecting some cookie cutters, just dont have space for them. Mum looks good, so does your sis. Enjoy the rest of your vacation

So great to see you Mum & JS! Was AU hiding from the camera? Sorry, yeah we have a TON of cookie cutters...why wouldn't they have a crabber shaped one or even a skiff?? LOL...so what is haddock? I'm guessing a thin white fish? I'm sick of seeing the ads on TV about the AK Pollock...ewww who wants to spend money on that?
Have a great visit! And what a bummer that we're missing all the fun weather at home, huh?

Non-profiting where ever you go, CB! Looks like mum raised you right. Say hello to the cows for me, and don't forget to post a couple of pictures of them...in the barn? Is it cold out? Miss you.

You post some bad pictures of people- like that poor fellow Ernie. Those pictures of him are awful! Maybe you just don't like him and this is your subtle revenge to him and other folks you post unflattering shots of? Either way it's entertaining, just wondering if you do it on purpose or not.
