As you all know, I have a soft spot for animals, and they extort me into getting them treats all the time. Today it was a whole bag of apples for the cows in the pasture. The Calves are still drinking milk, but they were sniffing all the apples that I cut in Halves an Quarters and put in the pasture. In the last two shots you can see all 6 of the calves that have been born in the past 6 weeks. 4 left to go. (Mr Bull was a busy, busy boy!) It is kinda Funny. There is this one tree in the pasture, down by the woods, that all the cows go to to give birth. The ground is high and dry and they just seem to like it there. Mum calls it "The Birthing Tree". We had snow again last night but it all melted by 11am and it is beautiful out there right now.
Have a great Day/Night Everyone!!

Aww that is so sweet. Miki loved looking at them and asked what type of cows they are. I hope you are enjoying the quiet life out there. Did you get to pig out on all that junk food yet?

And I want to see a picture of you in you cow and calf feeding clothes! Come on CB. Turn that camera on you. I love the story about the Birthing Tree. When are you going to be back? There's a story spot waiting for you if you are back by April 30. (And if Kristine and I are back by then, LOL! Our smooth as glass runway has disappeared in the bay at Akutan.) Have lots of fun and relaxation. Keeps the years from creeping up on you.
Oops! ...your cow and calf...
CB the calves are so cute what a nice treat apples. Glad that you are enjoying your vacation time.
Glad to see you made it home safely! Still have snow up there huh? I woke up to snow yesterday AM and thought "ugh!!!" where is spring - but such is life in the Poconos. Enjoy! Silly me thought you'd be MIA for a while but nope, there are you posting away while away - very cool and then there's no withdrawal for the rest of us!

I love these pictures! Can I copy one to my desktop? Do they have any chickens there? I know that sounds odd, but I love 'em! Sorry about the jet lag, but it's nice to have you on my time zone!
Thanks !!!
CB you are such a country boy at heart! You would fit in well in Nebraska. Your pictures from PA are just as great as from AK. Thanks.
