Sunday Brunch, Walks WITHOUT CookieDough, Sea Glass, Unalaska / Dutch Harbor Flowers and Critters, and Bunker Hill Green

It's A Beautiful Day Up Dutch Harbor Way..........

.........The Lupines (Sp?) are just starting to bloom......

.........Filling the air with their heady Perfume.

As Usuall Sunday Brunch is an Awesome Feast.........

...........but something is missing.........

.........like the world skipped a beat.........

Oh That's what it is!!
Junior is gone.......
And the desserts just look so "not done"
Perhaps if enough bloggers speak up and pout,
CookieDough will relent,
And send him right back?

Speaking of CD, Yesterday I went for my first CD free walk.......

....And found lots of Sea Glass........

.......Without CD there to "score"

The Greens and the blues are easiest to see........

.........but if you have experience in the next photo you will see THREE!

The Next photo shows a Little Boys Dream....
A little "Cave by the Sea"

After a Tumble in February off this little rock I did not climb it again.......

Till Yesterday, And Yes the Views ROCKED!!

Can anyone else Plainly see
A Lions head in this Rock but me?

The Flowers are Blooming ALL over the island.....

And MR Bee sure was happy to find them!!
Unalaska, Alena! Lars and the rest,
Gonna need your help to pass the name test!

(OK, And what the Fudge are these exactly?)

In the next few photos instead of Finding Waldo......
Look for Five Seagulls........

A Ground squirrel.....

Three More Gulls.........

.....and a really cheeky Squirrel!

How do they know I always have food?
I blame a Certain Naughty Bird!!

Dutch Harbor/Unalaska is in many ways a boys Dream,
Lots of Construction and Fishing boats.....
....... Big Boy Toys........

Awesome Little places to hike and play.....

.....And Treasure on the Beach!!

Theses little Jems are my score yesterday,
With my favorites on display bellow.

The Greening of Bunker Hill is taking a bit,

But it has gone from this.........

to this....
.....to this, taken this morning.

Have a Great Sunday Everyone!

ohhh way to make me homesick and jealous too! That looks so fun and GREAT beach glass finds!! I feel like I'm missing out on all the fun!! odd thought from a vacationer, but true... we're going for a walk tonight, but alas no glass just a paved bike trail.

Thanks for brunch, and for taking us along on the walk. It could just be me of course, but since all we ever see is the snow and ice its interesting to see DH all green and flowering. Collect all the sea glass, maybe CD will get jealous and hurry home.

I will catch up on the sea glass while in Wrangell, but missing the walks and the flowers and green at home is sad!

CB the pictures are incredible I found all the critters and all the sea glass. I like your spot the stuff picture game. Yummy brunch was great as always I so love the fresh seafood each brunch. Alas the deserts do miss Junior's touch they look so lonely. Wow everything is really greening up and blooming what wonderful colors. Hee Hee CB try bribing CD with sea glass and scrapbook supplies she might come home early LOL.

Wish I could arrive earlier, but I need the work and doesn't seem like work can do without me!

I want JR to make my strawberries when I get there!

Isn't spring wondeful CB?
A trip to the local library should yield a basic "guide to the wildflowers of Aleutian" book you could take on your next hike. I love "keying out" unknown plants with the help of a guide that ask you a question, and depending on what you see on the plant, takes you to another description closer to the name of the species.

Thanks for the wonderful pictures! I love looking for sea glass on the beaches of Cape Cod. The cobalt blue one is my favorite!

CB darling, in the 'spot the critters' section, 'three gulls' division, there are actually 3 1/2 gulls. You forget Auntie is obsessive! Things are looking lovely and I am jealous of lil' sis!

There is a book --"Wildflowers of Unalaska" or something like that By local resident Suzi Golodoff. I'd bring it on the walks...if I was there...off to breakfast/gas stations/return car/check in/TSA-- yay?

Wow, agree - lots of photos! Yep, I see spring has finally arrived in DH. On my way to AK in 5 days - can't wait, but oh, I won't be coming to DH, maybe next time. Got to find out "what" cruise ships dock there. Oh, and please tell me what is the big deal about sea glass?
