9547249490 ? Are you getting Phone calls from PPI? CB is! And HE IS PI$$ED! Scam Phone Calls / Harassing Phone Calls will end or Else!!!

I have been getting these phone calls for about a week now, at all hours of the Day and Night. When I saw the Area code I thought it was one of my Florida Friends Calling. When I picked up No one is there.
I finally called back and got a recording asking me for my phone Number if I wanted to "Stop recieving calls". I knew better than to do that!!! So I just ignored it.
Now for the past TWO nights they have called at 3am, 5am and 6am. CB was VERY VERY Upset, and awake at that time of the moring..............so he decided to do a little research.....
Thanks to http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/9547249490

Pattykins, DG & Keri R AWESOME! Sunday Brunch, Lisa Maire, GrandOpenings, Museum of Aleutians Auction. Can you say busy Saturday?

Ok, Confession Time!!!
Bad CB has sneaked a few cigs in the past two days. A "guest" left a Pack of Cigs in my Apartment and I have had a few, the first by total accident first thing in the morning. Still though I am not going to be beaten by this. It happened. I will not allow guests to smoke in my Apartment anymore or leave their cigs behind. It is just too much temptation!!!!! This is a learning experience.

First of All a Big Congratulatory Shout out to DG (Shown above Crabfishing with my Nephew AU back in July)............

.............And the always wonderful (even when she is feeling under the weather) PATTYKINS!!!
They picked up the Seattle Mariners Ticket Package that kept increasing in Value as Area Businesses (Alaska Ship and Northern Mechanical) tried to 'outdo' each other. What finally went for $5500 was 4 Round trip tickets from Unalaska to Seattle, 4 Private box seats at any Seattle Mariners Game Pattykins Chooses next year, $200 GC at a famous Seattle Restaurant, Limo Transportation to the Restaurant AND the Game, and I think a Kitchen sink was thrown in there somewhere too.............All in all a Great Deal but also for a Great Cause! The Museum of the Aleutians!! http://www.aleutians.org/
Keri Got the Deal of the Night on one of Gert Svarny's Woven Baskets. I'm SOOOO Jealous!!!
http://www.aleutians.org/sav06.html Check out this link for more of Gert's works. She also appears on http://unalaska.wordpress.com/ quite often as it is her Daughter's Blog and On Alena!'s at http://therealunalaska.blogspot.com/
Apple, Rasin and Walnut Crepes.........
Jeff and Junior
One of our new employees Daniel with the brand New King Crab!
And of course plenty of Desserts!!
Ok, So the Lisa Marie turned up Late on Friday Afternoon .................
...........moving pretty slowly through the bay between Hog Island and the Hotel...........
...........It will be a good story for you all to hear on Deadliest Catch!!!
So Saturday Started out with work as usual then Veda http://www.arctic.net/~veda/ and I Headed to the Alaska Ship Supply Grand Opening.
We had to get our Names in for the Giant TV Drawing at 4!
Then it was back to the Hotel for a few Hours of Work to Turn our normal Breakfast/Lunch Area , The Margaret's Bay Cafe, into the Museum Auction.
Then it was back to Alaska Ship for the Live Drawing at 4pm.
I believe the entire town, with the exceptionsof Cookie Dough, Alena! Juno and AG were there!
Even Dylls!!!!!
And now to show that it really was not rigged.............here are the pictures.........
...........That show, without a doubt...............
...............That the Baby Won FAIR AND SQUARE AND I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING MORE ABOUT IT!!!!!
Ok? Got it? Good!!!! LOL Now on to the Museum Event!
Over 100 people attended the event and the Museum Raised over $30,000.00!!! Congrats to Zoya (With the Microphone Above) and Sharon (With the Notecard above)
I won a pizza and a Prepaid phone for door prizes!
Most of the town was there, with Alaska Steve http://senseofplace63.blogspot.com/ and Goldfish who along with Keri and Elaine really pumped up the bidding. Hey, They Needed some stuff for their new House!!!!
Of Course Steve and I HAD to take a picture of this Auction Item! A Case of Shotgun Shells!! Only in Alaska!!!!!!! (Note to self, send this picture to BZ at http://bloviatingzeppelin.blogspot.com/)
PattyKins!!!!!
The always Fabulous Susan Lynch hosted the auction after pulling an earlier shift at the Alaska Ship Opening! What will we do without her next year?
Yes, A Huge Chocolate Cheesecake went for $80!!!!
Keri's AMAZING new woven basket!!!
And Finally Patty Kins and DG after winning the Seattle Mariners Package!!!

What a great event. And as Susan Said throughout the evening, we DO NOT NEED $80 Cheesecakes or $2000 paintings. We do it to support the Museum. And This is Just another reason to Love this town!!!!

Have a Great Day everyone!!!

Stormy Days up Dutch Harbor way...........DC Update

Today - west 45 - 65 gusts 80 rain, Tonight - west 50 - 70 gusts 100 scattered snow, Friday -
northwest 35 - 50 gusts 65 < href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ca6Oa7nZZsU/SvRz5i4iB_I/AAAAAAAAHVs/ve4X6chXyDE/s1600-h/The+Coming+Storm+002.jpg">
Just like in Florida though the weather would come through in "Bands" of storms.
They move through alot quicker around here though.

You can watch the Progression as the band moves in..........
.......up, over...........
.......hits us..............
...........and then moves on.

What I always find remarkable is that this series of shots was taken over just a 30 minute period. (Oh, and Ice balls hitting your face at 50mph Sting a bit though it is a great Dermabrasion)

ALL the DC Boats are Safe, though one or two had some fun in this weather. The Lisa Marie Especially. And Part of the Film Crew is still "Trapped" over on Akutan with the Lovely April.

We had a few car wrecks about town and some siding came off the hotel but for the most part we came though the storm great. Really it did not even seem that bad. I know there were worse ones last year. Still, it cam alot earlier this year than last.........

Anyway, busy day so Stay warm everyone!!

On Seals, Scallops, The Coming Storm, The Rollo, Ice sickles, and Junior's Birthday!

So this Pod of about 24 seals has taken over the "Glass Beach" Portion Of CB's Nightly walk.
What does one do when confronted with 24 seals?

FEED THEM OF COURSE!!!!!! You all know CB has a soft spot for animals. So all my Leftover Bread, Chips, Pretzels.........

.....And a Bag of Sea Scallops were taken along on the walk.

A Few of the Seals were scared at first.........

........but once a brave one figured out what was going on they were swimming right on up to the shore to get some.......though still in the water. Sorry no good shots of that but I did not want my camera covered in Scallop Juice. You can sorta see one above and bellow though.

There is a big storm coming with 60-75mph winds and snow for Wednesday-Thursday, so Many boats are making for Dutch Harbor to ride it out in some safety.

Including the Rollo, which passed right by my Pod of Seals.

With the Temperatures getting colder the Ice Sickles are just starting to form on Bunker Hill....

........in just a few weeks it will go from this.................

...............to this!!!!!! Still, Today we had the Calm before the storm.

And Finally, Juno and Junior came by my place to Get his Birthday Present...........

........And after opening 5 boxes..............

.....He finally got his I-Touch 64!!!

Happy 18th Birthday Junior!!!!

Catch you all later
