A Cruise Ship, The Cornelia Marie, and Wild Horses: Just another Friday in Dutch Harbor.....

The Cruise ship Crysal Serenity Visited Dutch Harbor yesterday, and CB was tasked with taking some of the Ship's Crew on a tour of the island. they wanted to Video tape some of the highlights of our Wonderful Island for the Cruise Company.

Of Course I had to take them all down to see the Cornelia Marie, the Only DC boat left in Dutch right now.

We also went over to the Russian Church, But due to Religious Constraints were unable to take photos inside the Church. That is too bad, because the Icons inside are stunning!!

So I took them out Towards Summer Bay and then on to Morris Cove. (there is the Cruise ship up by the city Dock Completely blocking out CD's Hubby's Little Boat......LOL)

It was Amazing. All of these people had been on a Three Month Cruise all over the Pacific, yet they said that this was one of the best Shore Excursions they had.

Just another Friday in Dutch Harbor........

Wow that is a big cruise ship, CD'd hubby's boat looks like a toy next to it. Thanks for sharing the great pictures, they are awesome.

Great day! Looks like the ponies came through the winter fat and sassy - don't look too wild, though! Thanks for the post.

LOL my poor hubby, everyone is smiling at how tiny the boat he runs looks, that's OK he has a giant truck to feel GIANT about...
The horses are not quite wild, people do own them, but they run wild. (sharon? better explanation?)
And they LOVE people!! People= treats!
I wish it would turn green, it's soooo much prettier then.

Nice of you to give the tour. Must have been amazing for them to see the horses and get up close. I didn't realize that you get cruise ships in Unalaska.

Those are some really amazing pictures. I love the pictures of the cruise ship and that experience with the horses. I can't remember the last time I saw horses that are wild. I don't think I have seen one actually.

I was hoping you could tell me who feeds the wild horses in Dutch Harbor? It's so cold in the Winter and with the snow cover...
I wondered if they were fed hay to see them through?
