The story of the Infamous "Dime Stealer"

So, on Monday when Austin had off school, He, Mum and I went to McDonald's for breakfast.
I THINK they are getting used to being on Camera all the time, and have become much better sports about it. While we were there I spotted the Infamous "Dime Stealer". That is him in the red shirt sitting at the table with the 70's porn star mustache.
So, What is the story? It happened at church when I was like 12 and my sister was 10. We always went to church on Saturday night with Mum. The Rosary Society always prayed the Rosary before mass and we ALWAYS got there early enough to take part. We kneeled in the pews and said the prayers until the mass began. This one time the "Dime Stealer" was already there, though he was just sitting and not praying, in the row in front of us. An older woman came in and sat down by the "Dime Stealer". She got her Rosary out of her purse and in the process spilled her entire change "Clutch Purse". The change rolled everywhere and everyone around, save the "Dime Stealer", helped her pick it up. Once we were back to praying my sister and I noticed a dime on the floor in the pew in front of us. We did not want to interrupt the woman's prayers over a dime, and decided to say something in the short intermission before mass began once the Rosary was ended. HOWEVER during that time the "Dime Stealer" noticed the dime, and when the woman turned to welcome a friend into her pew he reached over and grabbed it, and stuffed it in his pocket. My sister and I were so shocked that someone would do that in church that we did not say anything, COULD not say anything. But from then on he became "The Dime Stealer". I have forgotten his real name, if I ever knew it, and would not post it here in any case. Just one of those little stories from my childhood that my sister and I share. I could not believe it when I saw him Still Working At McDonalds after all these years. I had actually just asked my sister about him the day before and she said she had not seen him in years.
Weird but cool, thought you all might enjoy!!
Just two more days in PA. As nice as it has been, I must say I have been missing Dutch/Unalaska, and all the friends I have made there.
See you Soon!

CB Sounds like the cookie thief at our local library, this lady takes a bag out of her purse and puts the entire plate of cookies inside as she leaves. I think her children work at our local Hardees LOL. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

I'm glad you're enjoying your vaca in PA. Thanks for sharing everything with us! As I watched DC last night I found myself thinking about you and everyone up there that I follow on these blogs, I think it made the show even better for me! Do we get to see you on any footage this year? I personally think we should! I was wondering if Dan is ok? I was following his blogs and was wondering how his hiking was going but then I noticed his blog is gone when you click on it. Any news there?

Hey, I have Horatio Hornblower on DVD, love it! Wow, a lot of folks were not pleased with the Deadliest opener last night (according to the Discovery Channel's Deadliest Crew site). I already knew that Phil was not on the boat for red crab, but it was still sad just the same. I need to watch it again, too many interruptions with kids, homework and dishes etc... I did like what I did see and looking forward to next week. CB, how much weight did you gain on vacation? I think I gained at least 5 pounds just reading your blog! Hee hee... Cher
