CB, Your pics of the Sunday brunch make me want to hop on a plane! I am so hungry! Thanks for posting pictures of my kids and I so enjoy seeing the pictures of all the "happenings" in Dutch. Good to see old friends like Patty & Dave and Denise.
Hope I get to Dutch this summer and finally meet you. Keep up the good work with the blog.
Rogers Mum
Brian,
Phil would have liked your heartfelt, yet simple "Farewell". You have always been a wonderful friend to Phil and the Cornelia Marie. Thank you.
Okay, now to address the brunch; DANGIT DUDE -- The food selection RAWKS... My ass is going to be a bit wider when I leave the cyber dining room. Just put the food on my tab, ok? (What do ya mean I don't have a tab? oops...)
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!
Helen
We got to the museum late- so glad you got pictures before it started. Everything was amazing- including your cupcakes. Now to go burn it all off in the Aleutian sunshine!
CB you're always so respectful. That's why I like your blog.
Also the food shots are to die for...I don't know what I have to do to come to Sunday brunch...but if I'm ever up in the area...I would really love to partake in festivities.
Recently discovered your blog and right now, as my stomach rumbles, I wish I hadnt ;) Great photos of the food.. I know where my hubby needs to take me for V-Day next yr!
Nice tribute to Capt.Phil.
I am booking your couch for next Valentine's Day....any place that has that much chocolate is where I need to be...I know it has been a rough week for you, I am keeping all of you who knew Phil in my prayers...
thanks so much for the cupcake recipe!!~!!!! It was an answer to prayer. my daughter's guide dog is having a birthday party tomorrow. With all the snow we have had here in maryland, 50 inches before melting, I haven't gotten to the store, but have everything for these recipes right on hand. You made my day. Have a wonderful valentine's day. Holly Turri, College park, MD

my daughter just yelled at me. I should have said that the people would eat the cake. Dogs die from consuming chocolate. oh duh. holly from college park maryland, retiring in embarrassment never to speak again until the next time.
ALMOND FOR EXTRA FLAVOR. IT WILL LOOK LIKE WHIPPED CREAM. PUT
ON COOLED CAKE.
LOL the pics of Zoya and the fish are freaking hilarious! It looks like the fish is trying to kiss her.
Truly beautiful sunrise, and an absolutely amazing brunch.
Hugs and Happy Valentine's Day to you my friend.

[... ] is one another great source on this issue[...]
I think I have a cavity just from looking!
Yikes 13!
CB what a perfect tribute very eloquent. Brunch looks wonderful love the seafood and all the yummy desserts. What great events you have the museum and chocolate feast great idea your recipe sounds awesome thanks for sharing it. HAPPY VALENTINES
What a fabulous brunch! I'd love to be there to see it/taste it all in person. Meanwhile, I'll try your Mum's Black Magic Cake. But....what is "Oleo" in the frosting? Is that margarine in a tub or as sticks? My idea of Oleo goes back to my youth in Anchorage - way back! - when the Oleo was white, in a plastic bag with a yellow food color tablet, and you squeezed and squeezed until it all turned yellow. Yuk, as I recall!
Oh, all of the goodies!
Bypass mouth, apply to ass and gut!
I am going to try your recipe, CB, I have been looking for a cake with a twist recipe just like yours!
Thanks for the Captain Phil sendoff. I saw the "goodbye Phil" vignette on the Discovery Channel this weekend. Can anyone tell me why I cried? I didn't even cry when my father died ...
I have never seen so much chocolate in my life! Thanks for all you do and the pics of the island were beautiful on Valentines Day!
Pass the chocolate pomegranate please....
Oleo is just my Mum's way of saying Margarine. I USE REAL BUTTER!!!!!!!!!!
Really, Use real Butter!
