The F/V Wizard Offload, Crosby and Lynn, and Dante

On The Dante Front, This is in response to the Person who said that I should have remained with Dante till he got on the plane. I dropped him off about 20 minutes before the plane took off and took pictures of the people there. (I also said that if anything happened to the dog the same fate MIGHT befall them.........It's OK, I know them)

Now, On to the Wizard....................

The Wizard was listing a bit tied up to the dock as the crab was being removed from the forward tank, making the deck especially fun to cross, which is why they had Lynn out there with the saltwater hose spraying the ice off.

Captain Keith's C&C Center. (BTW Keith is Quitting Chewing so no more Cup O' Noodles Spit Cup)

Lynn Spraying off the Ice (Notice his shiner is almost gone!) Also you can see that they only have on bin full of Dead Loss!! (Great Job Guys!)

Lenny Down in the Crab Hold

Where I was standing wile taking the pictures. (Notice the Dunkin Donuts Coffee Mug, You will be seeing them in alot of Wizard Shots this year)

Brailer Baskets going up and Down From the Elevated Westward Docking Facility.
And How much does one of them weigh, Almost one ton!! Of Course if you calculate out to 10 of these per hour you can see how it takes a Full day to unload the ship. (It was actually going a bit slower than that which was not making certain people happy, at 6-8 per hour)
It was Crosby who came out to get the new figures from Lynn, but he was working on some Computer Issues for Keith so he did not have to stay out.......
And here they are, Nice Clean Opilio Crab right from the Wizard's Tanks. Westward was not as cool as Unisea so I was Unable to follow these guys to thier final fate..........
And Finally on the Wizard Front you can see how much Ice they Built up on the steam back to Dutch. Crosby said this all happened in about 12 hours as they had clear fishing almost all their trip.
And Finally, A view from my window when I got home. The storm got worse through the rest of the day but Cleared up in time for me to have a nice night at the Unisea with the Wizard guys. (Ask Crosby about his Sarah Palin Story)

Ooh great pictures! So maybe they are called snow crab cause they are covered in snow? I like the pics of the frozen water bottles.. I guess you don't need to bother with coolers up there!
Will be checkin back later for your commentary CB, thanks!!

Wow! Look at the weather and the ice! Yikes! These pics are better than DC! Thank goodness for digital cameras now and for CB, of course! Awesome pics CB! Miss our chats (hint)!

Wow CB, great stuff! I think once again, you've raised more questions than answers! LOL! Where was the rest of the crew...and Dunkin Donuts eh? It's scary to think that much ice could build up that quickly. I'm glad to hear Keith's giving up the chew! Nasty habit! It's a shame Westward wouldn't let you "stay on the crab" would have liked another "story of George!"

I know the Sarah Palin strory! hahaha!!!

Thanks again!
