CB, I can't believe it, your moms pie crust recipe is the same one I have been using for years. People love it, but when I tell them it has vinegar and an egg in it they all say the same thing "ewwww'. But that doesn't stop them from eating the pie. You are right it is the best (and easiest to work with) pie crust ever. I love that M3 and you got to spend time together, maybe on your next visit we will have the chance to meet. Hug Helen for me when you see her. ♥ Bess

Yeah...where are the veggies CB? Some of us from Alaska seek them out daily...must be a mid-west thing?
Both JR and I think you look sooooo much like your Mum...like us :)
Have fun in SEA. Are you going downtown? Maybe pop by Seattle Univ and give me a report??

Wow CB - one of your best blog posts ever! While the food at your Sunday Brunches at the Grand Aleutian is wonderful, it can't hold a candle to your moms Apple Pie!

Careful! Cookie Dough might try to find a way to get those green measuring cups from your mum. But, knowing her 'fetish' for everything green, she probably already has several in her collection. LOL

Thanks for posting the crust recipe...that's one of the things that I just can't figure out! BTW, I have a sugar cookie recipe that also calls for vinegar-best cookies ever!

hahah....I have lots of measuring cups but never use them! I measure water for rice and that's about it!
I didn't even notice...
But I AM going to make her crust. I can't remember the last time I attempted pie crust and can't stand the ones from the store. I want to make pirok with yummmmy flaky crust!
I am going to make the cup cakes too. Love the recipes!
Not that I'll ever be home and baking :(
Penair's L1 gate is our new home I fear.
