Arrival in London, Collapse, then Dinner and a "Bubblier" Mc Flury

Ok, So I FINALLY got to London. Long story short but Continentinal Airlines.......well.......they are NOT going to be on my Christmas List. Bad time to come in to the UK as well that early in the AM. Had to stand in Line almost 2 Hours to get through Immigration and Customs.
Got in Line for a taxi then and Finally got to my hotel. Thankfully they were able to book me in early, Because I went to my very nice room............
...........And Collapsed.
Pictures of the English Money for JS and AU
My VERY COMFY Bed........where I collapsed for about 6 hours once I got here.
Once I got up I decided I wanted to just chill out at the Hotel tonight since I have a HUGE drive ahead of me tomorrow.
So I took a walk around the neighborhood..........
.........One of the Dreaded "Round-abouts"..........
.......And Ended up at the "Harvester" Pub and Grill just up the road from the Hotel.
Hard Cider, Salad and A great Steak. Too Bad My stomach still thinks it's like 10am and FAR too early to enjoy this. It was really good though.

On the Way back to the Hotel saw this add up on a Bus Stop. Knowing how much CD loves McFlurry's I could not help myself from taking a picture. I think this means they are putting the Nestle Candy Bar "Aero" or "Bubble"? in the McFlurry over here. Since CD is now MAKING me I guess I will have to Stop by a McDonalds On the Way to Edinburgh Tomorrow.

Also Along the Way have to Stop by Manchester United for Junior. (Jersey for you when I get back)

Hope all is well out there for you all. 8:30 pm here and I will be asleep soon I think. Time Changes always mess me up for a day or so, and this one is 10 hours difference.

Check back On Sunday. I do not believe my hotel near the Castle in Edinburgh has Internet service for tomorrow night. I think I will try to do a Sunday Brunch from Inverness/Loch Ness.

So sorry you had a bad Continental Airline experience, the last time I flew with them they lost a piece of my luggage got it 6 days later, it had tags from all parts of the country, LOL. Two hours to get through customs unreal. The food looks great and the room is awesome. Have a great time on your journey.

Glad you made it safely if a little frustrated. I can't wait to read all of your posts about this trip. The UK is just a fantastic time waiting to happen! (I love the shots of the money too. I collect coins and paper money from all over the world.) You know, I've never understood why the roundabouts were so dreaded...we've started incorporating a few of them down here and they work well! Anyway, have a great time CB. Can't wait till Inverness/Loch Ness!
