Snow. "The Deadliest Catch Chairs", and happy shots of Unalaska with no SNOW!

It is STILL snowing up Dutch Harbor Way! The Forecast Calls for a windstorm on Thursday night so White Out Conditions again!
THURSDAY NIGHT...RAIN. LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. SOUTHEAST WIND 30 TO 45
MPH. GUSTS TO 60 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT. Oh Fun!
Now, For all of you watching "The Best of" Seasons 1-5 of Deadliest Catch this past week you may have noticed the chairs and Couches the Guys were sitting it. Where did they come from and Why are they on the dock or Up on Ballyhoo? Well they come from the Hotel.

Usually they film the footage for those shows before King Crab Season starts on October 15. The weather is obviously alot better then than during Opilio season.
The Film Crew always brings them back safe and sound, if a little damp sometimes....
And Now, Just to maybe give the Island some ideas, here are a few shots of Summer and Fall...

I really love the Above shot!

Have a great day everyone!

Nahh. That is a really busy time for us up here. Too much too do! Probably Europe in September will be my next Vacation....Unless I do something nutty like South Africa or Easter Island..........

Hard for those of us in Illinois to realize that in Dutch it's still winter. They think it's cold here (at 38 degrees outside). I love the pictures and would love to come there to work for a year or two...yes, I'm insane. LOL I have spring flowers blooming now. CB if you ever get to Chicago, please let me know you're coming and we'll meet for lunch. I'm one of Captain Phil's Phillie's from his Phil's Place chatroom. Thanks for the updates. I enjoy them. CB,had you had the presence of mind to swipe those chair cushions and list 'em on ebay, you'd be retired to your private island by now!
