Special Prayers, Cold Day, Super Easter Brunch with Dessert Overload, Eagles, City Council and since we are all sick of winter a few Summer Pictures!

First Off I would like all of you to read with me Psalm 91 while Asking Saint Michael The Archangel for Intervention. Cookiedough's (CD's) Mum is sick in the hospital and Could use your Prayers.

Psalm 91
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
They say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

Surely he will save you
from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, "The LORD is my refuge,"
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because they love me," says the LORD, "I will rescue them;
I will protect them, for they acknowledge my name.

They will call on me, and I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will deliver them and honor them.
With long life I will satisfy them
and show them my salvation."

...and snapped a few quick shots...

Before the City Council meeting on the upgrades to the New Small Boat Harbor.

The City Managers Office and...
...My Fellow CVB Board Member Nancy P, DId a fantastic Job laying out the options.
With a lot of Community input the City Council FINALLY (4 1/2 hour meeting) came to some Decisions. Basically all the improvements were agreed too with the exception of the Drive Down Float dock, which is being redesigined to allow for larger vehicles to access it. Great news for all the Small Boat fishermen in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska!!

Everyone really seems to like the videos so here are some of the Eagles down on the Unisea Docks.

And Finally, to hopefully cheer some gloomy gusses up around town, I just want to remind them that winter will end soon and then we have all summer to play!

Yup, It's still light at midnight out on Front Beach on the Fourth of July!

Cute Ground Squirrels

Lots of Hiking,

Flowers

Trips to Summer Bay

Lupines

And Lots of Long Lazy summer days are just a few more weeks away! Cheer Up Everyone!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter up there in Dutch Harbor! Our weather in Anchorage is a little better, but it's still a little chilly (40 degrees and cloudy with high winds possible later today). I hope things warm up for you soon, but until then, at least you've got some great food to eat!

A Blessed Easter to you. Thanks for sharing Psalm 91. I love it.

It's a balmy 54 here at the SoCal coast. Rain coming in tonight and perhaps warmer temps mid week.

Wow...CB, thanks so much. Today isn't real fun for me...although it's about 50 degrees and sunny here. Makes me so homesick to see Jr. in the pics :( My mom is getting put into rehabilitation in the long-term care. I guess I'll come back as soon as I can with the kids. I can't be in both places 1500 miles apart :(
Thanks for the prayers all, it's very hard to see a loved one ill.

Sorry to hear about your mom CD - my best to you and your family during this time.

OK, so nothing cold from Alexander, but it was in the low 80's for our Easter - absolutely beautiful weather for a family Easter together. I hope everyone had a blessed day. I'd send you some warm weather, but I so love the snow pics!

Thank you for the mini-vacation, CB.
Brunch looked nummy killer good, as usual.

I hope your Easter Sunday was peaceful. And nope, I am not going to call it "spring holiday" like the politically correct assholes I am surrounded by in the SF Bay Area!
