Breaking News!!!!!! Cornelia Marie Heads to Drydock AGAIN before Opilio Season Begins!!

Well, it's Official. The Cornelia Marie needs some major repairs before braving the Bering Sea for Opilio!
The Boys are on Board (See Josh Harris in Orange coat with yellow cap) but No pots as of yet because they are headed to Drydock at Magones For some repairs.
The REASON today's Post is Late is because In addition to all my other duties; like The regular Housekeeping duites, Schedules, Ordering, meetings and Taking Down the Christmas Decorations now that Russian Christmas is over; I have also been running over to the Unisea Dock to Hopefully get some shots of the CM leaving for Drydock, and then Pictures of her up there. (I have Magones listed on the maps, between The NW location and the Airport). As of 15 minutes ago though she is still at the Unisea Docks. And the Weather today up here is not looking promising for doing much of anything.
And Now as A special Thank you to Reading, a Northwestern Shot NEVER SEEN BEFORE ON DUTCH HARBOR DIRT!!! There is the "sorting Table" and the chute used to sort the Crab, Laying on top ot the Opilio Pots!!!
As soon as I get some more pictures of the CM I will post and let you all know!!

Aww thanks CB. Poor Phil. he needs to rebuild that boat and be done with it. Hope he gets it fixed fast. Love the shot of the NW sorting table.

I fear for Phil's blood pressure. Thanks for the scoop CB even if we did have to resort to drastic measures. Hmmmm, maybe I took to much cough medicine.

Thanks for the 'dirt' CB...boy that CM has had more than her share of engine problems! ...now, did you say you had so NW 'dirt' too? ...and I'll help keep an eye on gbbarb for you!

Thanks for the update. I cannot believe they have to put her in DryDock. Poor Phil is right, what a bummer.

I feel so horrible for Phil and his crew. The poor guy can't catch a break. I hope they get it fixed and it goes smoothly! Thanks for the updates and pics!

They are still planing on teh Jan 14th date to leave, and when you think of Magone's, think of Scotty on the Original Enterprise, a true "miracle worker"!!

Thanks for the info and the special thank you CB....wonder if your readers will ever figure out who I really am when I am not in disguise!!! Bet Phil is about ready to say Beam me up, Scotty!!!

Well, old Mercury retrograde is rearing his ugly head once again. (Astrology talk, folks). Poor Phil! He must be fit to be tied. I hope this won't effect his health.
Maybe it's time for a new CM? Poor thing has sure been through the wringer with multiple repairs, etc. Phil just spent big bucks on her for repairs, not to mention new paint job, etc. etc. It's no wonder the man has High BP!

Thanks for the bulletin, CB. You are amazing. Hugs, Ell

It's a good thing they will be leaving on time otherwise the boys may get bored and the credit cards will not be safe!!

Carlisleboy said...

Actually, from everything I have heard GBbarb the boys have been really good this year and one of them (Hint, pictures of him posted) really "came into his own" During King season......

Oh man. That stinks about the CM...I hope they're able to get out by the 14th. (I enjoyed the little shot of the NA in there with the CM!) Thanks for keeping tabs for us on the doings in Dutch!

Jeepers...Phil should have a ton of good juju coming his way because he most certainly had had enough of the funky juju.
Hugs to ya CB!
The boss man should be in Dutch by tomorrow!

How is anchorage looking?

With Phil (supposedly) scheduled to skipper opies, I also worry about his BP and blot clotting with this added boat pressure.

I am glad it is IFQ and there is no time limits as there were under derby fisheries.

Thanks for the updates. Love your site, love the pics of the boats & crews and love DC.

The CM going to dry dock... Geez that sucks...

God Bless all the DC boats and crew's (Photo guy's included)... May you all have a safe and prosperous season.

Thanks for the updates CB. Poor Phil. Doesn't that man ever get a break? OK I give up...why is the table on top of the pots? lol.

Melly said...

CB, do you think you'd be able to get a shot of the NW when the guys arrive? I know it's really chaotic right now for ya. Much thanks if you can. :-)

thats where they usually tie it up until they finish launching their first few strings. ONce they start checking them they put it back where it belongs. Saves a lot of space on deck so they can maneuver pots.

Carlisleboy said...

I am trying had to get all the crews Melly, We will see.
And from what I have seen on other Boats alot of the sorting tables are stored that way between seasons. (Alot Harder to steal a $10,000 Sorting table when it is secured on top of a couple of tons of crab-pots.;-)

Now CB, you know they put that table up there just for me!!! and I appreciate and love all the pics you choose to share with us.

I know it's disappointing news to hear the CM is going back in for repairs, but it's definitely better now to find this out, then the later, which could be out at sea. I too, truly wish some good juju on Phil and the CM this year! Can't wait for the dry dock pics! Oh, and Reading - you sound like someone from the NW forum and I am trying to figure out who you are. Question: do you know me? Sorry CB - sideline here. Hey, you didn't tell us about the Russian Christmas and I hear there's a Russian New Year too. Had to read that on Dan's blog. That's OK - you're a little crazy right now.........have a great day!

Lori, I do now!!LOL have a great day - can't wait for the pics.
