CB Back

SOOOOOOOO........................

Alot has been said the past few days about the blog. To say I was in Shock would be an understatement.

This has all been blown WAY out of proportion.

Neither I, nor my readers purposefully set out to insult ANYONE.

I, and it seems most of my followers, enjoy a dryer, sarcastic tone when it comes to our humor. Maybe certain people did not catch that when they looked through only one or two posts without reading the blog as a whole.

Maybe I made a Mistake by Not making the Title of that one Post "DC Men In DH". (I am not changing it by the Way so That it can serve as a constant reminder of past mistakes.)

Sorry, I make mistakes, I am only Human. And Personally I have learned more from my mistakes than I EVER have from my successes........

Will I make more mistakes? YES. When I make a Mistake call me on it, just realize that it was not done with malicious intent, it was a mistake. That is how you learn. And there is so much more I look forward to learning about this remarkable place I now call home.

Will I continue to post DC news, Updates and pictures? YES! It is an interest of mine, and I enjoy it. In particular Freddie and Vanessa Have become good friends and I enjoy hanging out with them. It is nice to have friends that are not fellow workers at the hotel or Unisea.

Will I continue to show my little adventures about the area? YES! I was so sick, and not wishing to infect the entire town, I skipped the City Council meeting last night as well as the MLK Celebration, or you would see some of those pics on here today. If you look at past posts I have done you will see City Council, the GA Gift Shop, the Aveda Salon, Summer Bay, Morris Cove, Bunker Hill and my good Buddy Alexander. DC is dominating the headlines Right Now because it is going on Right Now. Once the season is over I have so many other post ideas it would blow your mind. Just be patient and wait for it!!

One Last Thing. The Comments back and forth got a little heated the past few days, From ALL SIDES. NOT COOL! Don't be hating!!! This is a Fun little blog that many seem to find interesting. I'm Glad they do. And By posting DC stuff I am able to attract a MUCH wider audience, and THEN introduce them to our delightful city. It seems to be working, lets give it a shot.

And Now, Alexander would like me to pass along the message that he will poop on the next person who is mean. (Or who Purposefully tries to get post #13) We all know who this applies too........

Peace, Love and Mountain Dew!!!

Kate, Feel Free to use Any of the pictures you want as backgrounds.
Just make sure to tell everyone it is an ALASKAN Sunrise, since many people seem to be under the impression that we live with 6 months of darkness or some such thing....
And Yes All, I am Feeling better, not 100% pure CB, But maybe 75%.

Sarcasm is necessary for life!

Just stick with what ya know CB, the DC/DH/Unalaska differences will soon be 2nd nature to you...and we'll all be smiling...We're glad you talk about DC, many of us are bored with it! Someone has to give the fans what they want, right??

You missed a nice event..I think Gigi got some pics, Alena wasn't able to attend either but her sis and the Unangan drummers/dancers were wonderful, and father Oleska was enthralling, I never sit still for 90 min and I did without even glancing at a clock.

Please don't make any other GA employees sick, we had that around here last week and I don't want any sick kids next week!!

Hi CB, I'm a lurker for your site (ok, I admit, I'm addicted to it), but I wanted to post to let you know that I enjoy and appreciate all you do, as I'm sure everyone else does as well. I am as far away from Dutch Harbour as one could possibly be (east coast of Canada), so it's neat to get your perspective. Keep up the awesome work!!

CB, so glad you are feeling better!
I am fairly new to the blog and was drawn here by your photos related to Deadliest Catch, but I love all the local stuff you post, especially the scenery and wildlife photos.
I spent 6 weeks in Bethel back in '89 and have loved everything Alaska since, it's why I got hooked on DC in the first place! Don't change a thing you are doing, it's all good!

Brain hope you are much better;
thanks for that link the other day on the different evacuation flights, how vital each one is.

Thanks too for addressing some unpleasant remarks.
In Colorado a while back a bumper sticker with "Don't Californiate Colorado" proliferated an unwelcoming message. Ick.. you are far from the first individual dealing with these issues.

love ya,

Donna

Glad to hear you are feeling a little better today. Hope you are all better soon.

As for all the ugliness, ignore it. If I stopped what I was doing everytime someone decided they didn't like it, I would be a statue by now.

CB, glad you're feeling better! For what it's worth, ever since I started reading your blog, I've enjoyed every post, DC related or not...everything from landscapes and sunrises to the Wizard boys. ;)

Also..."Don't go changing, to try and please me,You never let me down before...I love you just the way you are!"

CB - you're the best and I love all that you post. You're absolutely right - DC is "what is going on now", but it won't last and they'll be gone and then you'll be posting other "events" and interesting stories, not like you haven't already and continue to do that anyway. It will be interesting to see how many of us "stick with you" after DC. Oh, and not to make any waves or indicate any one person, but it appears that maybe some of your followers should have a blog of their own? JMO!
