Late Sunday Brunch, More TB Pics tomorrow once I figure out why some TB pics will not upload to blogger!!

I took these picturs yesterday on the way back from the store. And As Beautiful as this is, nothing else really Compares to the Dutch Harbor Sunrise that we can see every Sunday (weather permittng) During the first part of Brunch. (You Know, the ones where Frieda, Lori, Mystic Bonnie and Helen All raid the Bloody Mary bar while most of the rest of us have Mimosa's and ONE person has a Margarita.....LOL)

At first this morning the sunrise was average, Which still means better than most places on the planet.

Then It turned into something that these pictures can not possibly do justce to....Feel free anyone to share them or use them as a Screensaver...I am for this next one...

All too soon it was over. But now we can eat!!! (This is where blogger really started getting on my nerves today, and did not allow me to load all the pictures of Brunch or the TB. I'll try again tomorrow)
Salads for my "Auntie"..........

....But Salmon Roulade with Shrimp and Artchoke and Pearl Coscous.......

....Orange Walnut French Toast.....

...And Mussles with a spicy sweet pepper/soy/ginger/sesame topping for me!!!

Dani, I am Sorry the Dessert pictures would not upload, but hopefully a photo of Junior and Paul working on the Mixed Berry Yogurt Smoothies will make up for it............

And Now On to THE TIME BANDIT!!!!

I PROMISE I will try to get this uploading issue sorted out tomorrow, As I have alot more shots to share. I even had my Comments worked out but since I could not upload all the photos It would not make much sense to do that. Maybe tomorrow.

As for me back to work, with a little advice to some people. DO NOT TRY TO COME TO DUTCH DURING CRAB SEASONS!!! Really, there are no rooms to be had, the airfare is insane, the guys work 16 hours a day so when they go to the bar it is to relax, not hang out with fans, AND YOU WILL NOT GET HIRED ON A DEADLIEST CATCH BOAT!! Then how do I get to do all this you ask? Because I live and work here, and have made some friends (Thanks Dan, Shelia, Vanessa and Freddie) with people who can tolerate my enthutiasm for the show, and provide me with an introduction. I work to be respectful, BRIEF, polite and stay out of their way. This goes for the City functions I attend as well (Thank you Katherine and Shirley). Do I love Dutch Harbor? YES!!!! Do I think everyone should Visit? YES!!!! Just not during the crab seasons. (Sorry for that little rant, but we had someone come up recently who's dream was to work on one of the boats (I will NOT name which one) and he ended up working on a processing line for Pollock and living in a bunkhouse until he saved up enough to leave.)

Sorry to bring down the mood of a Sunday Brunch, but I would rather not see anyone else in that position.

Have a Beautiful Sunday (Or now Monday for some of you!)

Hopefully more TB pics in the AM

CB

What wonderful pictures. You really should consider, when you have taken your fill of pictures, publishing them in a book. They are amazing.

Thank you for the pictures of the Time Bandit. Nice to see those pirates are in Dutch and getting ready for the season.

Orange walnut french toast? omg I am so there! The hell with the drinks, let me have a tall glass of whole milk and seconds of the french toast with more real butter, mmmm that is so good! CB, whoever put this on your brunch menu deserves a raise. To look out over the water and see that magnificent sunrise and enjoy orange walnut french toast, wow. And to think they pay you too!

Yummy! I had brunch today and the French toast was as fabulous as you all imagined. :) I will be sure to give your compliments to my husband, the Executive Chef, who is responsible for planning all of the wonderful delights that you drool over each week, and his hard working crew who work diligently behind the scenes to make sure that everyone leaves happy. It's nice of CB to support another department so enthusiastically--thanks, CB! We'll have to take you to dinner one night to pay you back for all the free advertising. :)

Nice sunrise pictures! Got your message when we got back from an evening out but you were pretty garbled (your cell was breaking up) and I could only figure out every third word or so . . . .

The pictures are breath taking. Again I find myself saying you are a very fortunate person!!

Thanks for the Time Bandit pics too :)

The food looked yummy!! Nice to know our guys are being fed well. Or wait a minute do the guys ever make it to brunch?

Does this mean I should rethink my plan to come up next week and work as a chamber maid on the Cornelia Marie? Oh well.....
By the way, I'll have a Margarita too!

CB,
Thank you, thank you for the Time Bandit pics!! Question: Would it be rude to have a Crown and Ginger Ale for sunday brunch. I would get too drunk off of everything else. :)

WOW! That sunrise was spectacular! I love the way it hits those mountains...

Brunch, as always, fabulous, that salmon! Oh my goodness!!! Mimosas and French toast too!

Nice shots of the TB, I hope blogger quits being such a 'tard so we can see the rest of them when you get the chance to upload them!

Well...I guess I'll get a refund on my plane tickets and put my "will work for airtime" sign back in the closet! *sigh!* ;)

Mmmm Cb! Your pictures of the Sunrise were just as delicious as the Mussles with a spicy sweet pepper/soy/ginger/sesame topping, another favorite of mine. You sure know how to put on a spread! Simply mahhhvelous!

Wow. I'll have one of those, and those, and those. I've always been interested in visiting but now Dutch is on the "absolutely must see list". As is the hotel and wonderful food! Thanks for all your work! Bel

The pictures are awesome! Hard to pick one this morning for my desktop. The commentary was appropriate! Bet you haven't heard about the lunny women who come up to see the boats off yet, huh? And oh, the french toast looked yummy. I need the recipe for that one for my daughter. Mimosa for me hun :-)

CB,

MANY THANKS for your thoughts on plans to visit Dutch Harbor during Crab Season!

The thoughts of being "in the mix" while everything is going on sounds divine, I agree. It is not easy for those who have never been in that type of remote environment to grasp.

Hard earned money for a trip should be spent wisely. If you would like to SEE THE ISLAND, a little earlier in the year is more ideal. Hopefully your truthful, descriptive recommendation of visiting Dutch prior to Crab Season season is heeded. A notice to that effect was posted not long ago in our fan forum.

KUDOS for your description. I can't thank you enough!
