Sunny Day, Why not a trip to the Pyramid?

So I have shown you Pyramid peak before from this angle, but always thought it was something that I would have to attempt to climb in the summer. (Got our first outing planned already Little Sis and Austin!!) On our Lunch break yesterday Dan showed me that it can easily be done in an afternoon!! (Not that we had time yesterday, but he showed me the trail)

Storm on one side.........

........Sun Over Pyramid........
.........Or storm on the other side. Pyramid Peak it is!!!!
Up Behind Westward Seafoods, Where The Wizard Offloads, you can follow the road up almost to the resevior.........

..............and the views up there can just not be beat!!!!

AND I am posting this notice in advance!! FEEL FREE TO USE ANY OF THESE AS SCREENSAVERS!!!

Pictures, like friends are meant to be shared!!!

Thanks CB, I love the pics with all the snow, we never really have any here. I spend a good bit of time in front of the computer at work, and its nice to have something pretty to look at.

hey CB,
How do you travel about the town? Did you have your vehicle shipped to Unalaska when you moved up?
Wonder if a Florida vehicle is Alaska worthy. In Colorado, you see many four and all wheel drive vehicles, but the roads are typically great thanks to our CDOT people.People with the four wheel drive vehicles can be reckless at times. The vehicle may climb better at times, but all vehicles take more time to stop on snowy roads.
What are Alaskan drivers like/

LOL Unalaska is different than a city for sure... ANC is a regular city and is no fun at all, here there is one paved road, no traffic lights..there are lights by the runway to stop traffic from crossing the runway when a plane will be using the air--no good comes of that! The traffic is very light here and snow and ice are great fun...OK that is my view..I live in a very accessible home and we have 3 4-wheel drive trucks out front and my RAV which is all-wheel drive. I'd guess 90% of the vehicles are trucks/SUVs?? That's just a guess...
CB, how is it for you?

I went to the store to buy some halibut to make April Dawns recipe for haibut chowder. $32 for 2 lbs!!!I passed on it (where am I- at the store that shall not be named?) Psst- it was Costcos. Will have to try the local fishmonger instead. Come on already- I'm 1 hour south of NYC- halibut cannot be more expensive than king crab but it is here in NJ. Crazy.

Awesome and lovely pics and thanks for the blanket permission CB!

That is so ridiculous about the halibut!! I've never even seen halibut in a store to know what it goes for, but around here it's more common than hamburger.

Everytime you post landscape pictures, I'm like "that's the most amazing picture of ______ ever!" Haha! So thanks again for some great shots. I love seeing that snow! It looks like a gigantic down quilt...even if it's not as warm. :)

I think that the island over there is much older than the one I live on, your guys hills are so rolly (lumpy looking) can tell it's been worn down over the years. So weird how just 40 miles this way you can't find that look on any of the hills around here! I always found that interesting! and wow... $32.00 for 2 lbs... I only pay for the gas that gets me to where we pull them out of the ocean, which is only like a 5 min skiff ride from the boat harbor! I don't think I'd ever pay for it at those prices either.... :S

Janice - that's why I order my halibut directly from AK. Price of halibut in FL is ridiculously overpriced too.
