My Own Little Christmas Miracle!!

It Is a BEAUTIFUL Day In Dutch Harbor!!!

So, This morning Tom Enlow (The General Manager Of The Grand Aleutian) and I were talking about the "Going Out Of Business" Sale at the AC Grocery Store Next Door. (Don't Worry, Alaska Ship Supply is Moving in and they have better prices). Anyway it is now at 50% off Grocery Items which means that it is like paying normal prices in the lower 48. We Decided to take $100.00 and go and get some items to Drop off at the USAFV (Unalaskans against Sexual Assault and Family Violence). So for $100.00 I could get $200.00 Worth of Groceries.
THEN The Miracle Happened. The Gruff Old Manager of AC's Heart Grew 3 Sizes Today and he Decided to MATCH our Donation.
So I Got $400.00 worth of Groceries for $100.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Since I figured that most people drop off Canned Goods Like Creamed Corn and Beets I Decided to Get things that KIDS might Like. Pudding, Animal Crackers, Teddy Grahamns, Bear Creek Soup Mixes, Fruit Roll Ups, Lipton Noodle Sides, TANG and so forth.
So Remember Christmas is ALIVE AND WELL!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!
And TO ALL a Good Night!!!

And Welcome to Fizz Wood, The Newest member of Dirt!!!

Yes Sun and Mystic. In fact I have been singing Christmas Carols and going on and on about the Joy and Wonder of Christmas so much that Darryl, The AR Manager has threatned to tie me to the Bumber of the van for a drive out to Summer Bay. Not that that is Stopping me or Anything.......

Well done! Kind hearts and gentle people are alive and well at the Grand Aleutian. I very much approve of your choice of charities, and of the kid friendly goodies.

Top shelf move! I know those kids will get a kick out of having some more "festive" items. What an awesome gesture and a great example of the spirit of Christmas!

Merry Christmas! :) *warm fuzzy*

"Miracle on Unalaska Island" coming soon to a theatre near you...which means you guys can't see it until it comes out in DVD. :(

Love people who are generous. Way to go.

What a nice thing for you to do for the USAFV and the kids. And how smart you are to think of "kid" food, as we all forget about that sometimes. It sounds like you have been a part of this island for a long time and the locals love you! Merry Christmas CB!
